This is a tale of love and near loss and a lesson in realising what something really means to you.
I've used this forum regularly since it's very first days, sometimes at home, ocassionally on my phone, but very often from my work desktop computer. Over the last few months I stopped posting with the frequency I had previously, due to a few deciding factors; my laptop broke, my phone deteriorated and, well, I needed to buckle down at work. And I stopped posting, or at least with the regularity I had done the last 10 months or so.
And then something happened. I came to work one morning and clicked on the link for this website for a little browse and I couldn't get access. Refresh - still no access. Close down Internet Explorer and try again - no access. Reboot the computer - still no access. 'Perhaps it's all internet sites, perhaps there's a problem with the server' I thought to myself however I logged onto various news sites with no problems whatsoever. My worst fears had been realised; forums had been put on the banned list with other social network sites. Dread.
I tried to regain access to no avail, I asked for help from various people; I asked Bobby Dylan, I asked the Beatles, I asked Timothy Learly, but he couldn't help me either. I was the seeker, I searched low and high. I'd all but given up, I'd lost one of my main sources of entertainment during working hours.
And then one day I clicked on the link and gained access. 'WOOHOO' I screamed to myself in silence, 'I'M BACK' I shouted, again, to myself, in complete silence. And I'm glad I am, I ruddy love this place. I'd learnt my lesson, a valuable lesson and that lesson is to never take RBMB for granted, love and cherish it like you partner, like yours kids, like your parents, like your best friend because you really don't know what you've got till it's nearly gone.
Right, I need to do some work. Well done if you got to the bottom of that drivel, you deserve flair. Ah flair, I'd forgotten how much I love flair. Right. Work.
