I think a return to a more conservative approach with this line up, particularly if Campbell is injured...
Gunnarsson to take a well desreved breather on the bench....
I fancy Mutch to finally hit the target, so 2 - 0 City........
Marshall
Connolly Barnett Turner Taylor
Bellamy Mutch Whitts Kimbo Conway
Helguson

Not an easy one to call with Campbell looking unlikely.
If we have the setup that you mention TDA then I think we're in for a 1-0 loss.

Provided Mutch & Kimbo play, I think chances will be created. Helguson may not get on the scoresheet himself (although he is due a goal), but he does bring others into play and I don't think Watford are that good defensively. I would expect to see Mason at some point, but Helguson to start.

my worry is that with helguson playing we will engage in hoof and hope football and whitts will end up as a sweeper. all that was acheived on saturday will be lost

I'll go for an optimistic 1-1.

Not too sure about the result earlier in the week I fancied a 3-2 win but now that's gone completely...Kind of hopeful of a win but not sure

Looking back at the highlights of the Blackburn game, apart from Marshall, every City player (including Barnett) had a shot at goal at some point. It really is no wonder that the goals have been shared around.
Provided that the drive is there from midfield and the wings as it was against Blackburn, I don't think Campbell will be missed that much.

I heard we had 15 shots ON target prior to the opener. And you're right, I think perhaps 2 of them were down to Campbell. Its not just his goal scoring prowess that we'all miss though. His runs upfront draw defenders, leaving a large gap for the ball carrying midfielder to move up into, something that happened often on Monday.
Either way we need a repeat of that statistic, with a full throttle attack from the off.

I think if we play for a draw then we will be in for it for the whole match because for Watford this is a must win.
Hope Malky sets the team to go at them and hope we have enough to get something.
