Regarding hiding Avatars - aside from Trash's suggestion of tippex, the only other thing you can do is change the browser window to a smaller window and hide it behind another window? A quick tap on the Alt + Tab keys at the same time will make you jump back to the work screen quickly


Although I'm sorry to say that we haven't got a 'hide avatar' option, I believe Redbluebirds is the most innovative and modern of the all the Cardiff Forums:

How to add Videos & Pictures

You may have noticed that you can add pictures and videos to the forum directly, to do that you need to use the full 'post reply' button as opposed to the quick reply option at the bottom.

ok, next - how do I stop you filling up my email box with "someone has just replied to a thread"?

Go to Profile>Preferences:

and turn off the option of receiving a reply to a topic you've started.

You can also click the 'watch this topic for replies' link in the bottom right corner of the last post in the thread.

The observable universe is about 13.9 billion years old, so if someone was stood on another planet on the other end and were looking at us with a super massive telescope they would see the earth as it was 13.9 billion yrs ago. ( the earth is not that old before any smart asses correct me, its just for the basis of this experiment).
So it will take a further 13.9 billion years for the aliens on that planet to see the light emitted from vanessa feltz, which imo should stop any war of the worlds style invasion.
but again the smart asses will say that in approx 2.3 million yrs the andromeda galaxy is going to crash into us and if we survive that malestrom then the sun will explode in approx 5 billion yrs wiping out the planets probably up to jupiter.
Inflation will be gone then i suspect. unless we invent inter stellar travel. of which vanessas offspring will be too big to board the spaceship.
