Interesting....good move with Gunnar for Cowie. Not so sure about Naughts for Connolly or Kim for Frei.

I would even favour starting Rudy over Helguson at the moment. I don't think Helguson is a bad player but as we saw with Miller last season, older players need a bit of a break. To be fair, I think Miller offered more in the way of link up play than Helguson does right now. Rudy may not be the finished article but he did cause a problems on Tuesday and ended up with two assists.
How can Malky possibly know if Velcro was a bad buy if he never plays him? All the reports we have seen of him play in a City shirt have been glowing too. It appear he has undying faith in Helguson (and Taylor) right now.

Sorry arkay I meant that there must b a reason why he ain't playing or on bench, maybe Not up to standard he wants etc, but What We have heard he is gd as u say glowing reports etc, its just puzzling and frustrating

Barrie on Twitter just said Kev was 'struggling'. I presume with injury. With no Connolly on the bench (although, I thought Nugent was a defender?) looks like Kiss is stepping up to fill in. Slumdog will be happy.

Slumdog will be happy with Kiss making an appearence.
It was only the other day that red was saying that Kiss could do a job for us in defence.
For me it shows how vulnerable we are at back.

Quite. If Kev is out for a while, he (alongside untried Nugent and currently injured Cowie) could be the only viable defensive replacement we have.
