It may just be me but the stadium seems really quiet these days.
During the last few games, on numerous times I could hear the players on the pitch calling/shouting at each other because the fans are so quite.
I blame the lack of away fans on the last few instances as half our noise is usually caused by them daring to sing in our stadium.
The pressure is completely on the Canton Stand as they're generally the only people making noise, so hats off to you , but even in that stand thesedays- there are large patches of silence?
Burnely only brought 20 fans (looked like) so we were pretty much silent at times. As the second half started we "supported the boys and made some noise " and then silence. I could hear the odd fans talking amongst themselves. Maybe were glad of the quiet following the unnaturally loud music/announcements at half time
Any thoughts?

Yeh it's a strange one, the club have created this by having the main singing people away from the away fans.
I normally sit in the Ninain stand (115), but sat in the Canton on Saturday. First half it was dead quiet, but it did seem to liven up a bit in the 2nd. I do find that if you start singing, people around you generally start singing too, although you do look like a dick if they don't
I'm thinking of changing from the Nin to the Canton permanently next season, or even the second half of this season as I enjoy it more there. Standing up is mich better and although there isnt much singing at least there is some.

Yes last great game was the Palace semi final... Flat as a pancake at the moment and my season is adjacent to the Canton standing section... We've lost our mojo

I think Caldi Blue's comment is interesting. The singers are beginning to move back together. We had years at NP for the singers to congregate. And of course, you could go and stand/sit where ever you pleased. Hopefully, over time the vocal will group and the atmosphere will return. Although I think we only remember NP when it was rocking. There were plenty of drab games there too.

Yup, sometimes you could hear the stand creaking and the rust dropping.
Perhaps the increased attendance figures have helped with this,as well as the displacement?
Back at Ninian, when we 14,000 - 16,000 we were rocking but with the return of the more casual fan, perhaps the singers find themselves in a minority?

Maybe we should grow a little posse and make an RBMB patch and make lots of noise

Can we wear cowboy hats and leather chaps? We could fire our guns in the air when City score.

Can we shout yeehaw, hotdiggidydoodingdangdong, eat beans, spit baccy, do the gentleman's excuse me in our bivouacs and hang petty criminals
I'll change my name to Slim Pickins Finger Lickin Perkins or Gerwyn 'The Mardy Chihuahua' Griffiths
Also Arkay I thought one of your pet hates was bolded text...
Did I say that? Hot diggity! I don't remember it but it sounds like something I might say. All this sippin' whiskey and sasparilla must be rotting my brain.
I know I don't like it's use on CCMB because it usually means somebody has picked out one tiny phrase from a large block of text and nitpicked it to death in order to drive home their argument while completely ignoring the context of the overall debate.
On here, we tend to use it more sparingly and appropriately...
