UK....A Third World Country

In the Broadband domain, 31st in the list behind such tech leading Countries like, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Slovenia.

The Contry is a joke!

It seems to me that there has been next to no public investment on infrastructure at all for a long long time. This country generates a lot of wealth but instead of the money finding its way back into public services (like is the case in Scandinavia), it's been filtered into the pockets of the wealthy. We need a change!!

I get 200mb, is that not a decent speed? It would nice to get some of that Google Fiber, 1GIGAbit broadband!

At our UK address, far flung small town population around 7,000, we are on about 2 mbps.  The more densely populated areas like Cardiff have better service as it is more cost effective to install.

Here in rural France, we have the luxury of 20 mbps, which I would say is the bare minimum required to lead a civilised life.  Satellite broadband is common, as the wired alternative is so primitive, with 1 - 2 being the best most can hope for.  We have fallen lucky, having had the line uprated twice in 12 months.
