It turns out that June was wettest since 1860 and one dullest and coldest on record, according to the old met.

Global warming means that the atmosphere is warmer thus enabling it to take up far more water. It has to fall somewhere and we're straight in the line of fire. At least we won't suffer from the draughts that are occuring elsewhere.

One thing I like about the layout of this board is that I don't have to look at the post below and see it's xxx rated travesty of an avatar. I'm sure I will get some disease of the eyes if I look at it. I'ts like a car crash Crying or Very sad

I hate to pull the 'I'm a scientist' card on you but global warming would indeed make western Europe colder. It will have vast effects on the gulf stream which provides most of our warmth, and it might eventually stop entirely.

Thus why in apocalyptic global warming situation, the world will boil, but western Europe will go into a new ice age.

Nice bedtime story for you This will cheer everyone up. 1525230823

Does that mean the return of bears and sabre toothed tigers? I quite fancy a bearskin. Central Wales will make an excellent wildlife reserve.

Best I care is the further west the worse the effect will be, so Swansea might freeze to death? Haha

It's the jet stream, wandering in the wrong place (too far south), and blocking everything. Wettest June on record (i.e. since 1910), and second lowest for sunshine.

So, if it happened in 1860 then it has happened before? So, in the words of Tom Jones, it's not unusual? Right?

So, no need to worry then.
