Well, it makes a change from "I didn't see that coming"

Well I suppose it's a change from his usual saying

"I didn't see that coming".

SNAP. “It was not what we expected,” admitted Slade. 635981802

"Decent performance" "We're not quite there" Blah blah blah.
How about "I resign".

Frustration and anger is what I feel.

Having followed City for so long and during some pretty ordinary times, I cannot believe the right royal horlicks the club has made of the golden opportunity that Vincent Tan presented. His money got us to the PL, but his lack of footballing nuance comes back to bite us time and time again.

We still have one of the best in depth squads in the Championship, but we are so tactically naive that any change of approach by the opposing manager will invariably swing the direction of a game. Our manager consistently states that he didn't expect games to drift away from us, but this is solely down to his inability to get the best out of this group of players and anticipate or react to opposition tactics.

I also seriously question his credentials in bringing players in. In four years at Leyton Orient, he never paid a fee for a player. He got away with that in League One, but the Championship is another thing completely.

Watt, Peliter and Malone (who shouldn't be in the team ahead of Fabio) aside, where are his purchases? Either loaned out and sitting on the bench at a variety of clubs because they are just as ineffective there, or repeatedly injured.

This is a season totally wasted. This is a division of very ordinary teams and was there for the taking. I'm not saying that we should be in the auto spots, but definitely in that top four group which is breaking away from the rest.
