I cant find the live link on WOL for press conference... i want to know what Chris Wathan asked Slade... apparently rumours are he said "why are performances so poor?" and "Do you honestly think Cardiff can reach top 6... if so your deluded you kent" personally i would have gave Wathan a round of applause

The questions asked weren't THAT bad - Malky and Ole both suffered far worse. Hints that he was unhappy before he even came out to me.
Still, if he genuinely believes that Lee Peltier is an improvement on John Brayford, Ill have one of whatever he's drinking.

I like the idea that some of the players who've left had "lost interest" as Slade said in that interview. I wonder why that is...?
To quote Burgstaller: "Russell Slade came and told me that he will not give me a chance. He would not even look at me. It was a shock."
Regardless of whether he HAD to get rid of them or not, surely there is a decency and man management issue here? I've been involved in redundancy proceedings three or four times in my lifetime and none of them have been as tactless as that. Mind you, I've had teeth removed that would seem to be more pleasant experiences than a meeting with Slade too.

Slade needs to be careful because if he said that, you can hardly deny that it's constructive dismissal? Not sure how applicable these things are in the football world but you are right, his man-management is appalling. He's hardly media savvy either, as this press conference shows.

Having read the Wales Online article, I find it interesting that Slade said "in terms of Lee Peltier, the fact that he’s been captain at two other Championship clubs, played about 300 games, you’ll have to check that, is a good strong player, had a £1million move. I think it’s excellent business".
Surely the number of games a player plays means nothing, so that can be discounted. His strength is also irrelevant...Kelvin Etuhu is a strong player but ask Arkay what he thinks of Kelvin. And a £1million move, in the context of Championship teams aspiring to the Premiership, is not impressive. Why not just say, when asked if Peltier is the right quality, 'yes', rather than walk out!

i suggest that the number of games a player plays means something, his strength in a perceived weak area can mean something. the past values of a player can suggest that he has maintained his competence on the pitch. we have had many players on a free over the years, who is to say that a transfer policy of freebies is incorrect
