Think we may lose this one, colchester will be out to impress, and you can guarantee slade will play fringe players/the development players so the odds would be on colchester to win if this happens. Although like it has been said Slade should have the knowledge on how to beat poor league one teams. but with city nothing is simple

There is a chance that more people will read this thread than actually attend the game, so how best to approach this....
It appears that Slade is going to give a game to Moore, Connolly and Ralls at least, but those aside, I don't know what might be achieved by fielding a much weakened side. Slade needs cohesion and effort on the pitch and, surely, this is the game where some confidence might be restored?
It is also a chance to appoint an outfield captain, which is something I would like to see for the rest of season. By all means make Marshall the club captain, but we need a leader on the park and that is not something that a goalkeeper is often able to offer.
By chopping the team around, we may well end up with a disjointed arrangement, much as Ole managed to do. I hope not, as this is a free game to try to lay the foundations for the rest of the season.
January is going to be difficult month for City, both on and off the pitch and if City don't perform well tomorrow, then I think the pressure will be turned up on Slade even earlier than anticipated.
I should imagine that City will win by a couple of goals, but don't expect fireworks........

going tomorrow, but a bit apprehensive and think it would be a grave mistake to field a too weakened side.

I just tried to name a completely changed eleven, and it occurred to me I can't even remember half the squads names.
Really sums up how stubborn Slade has been in selection.

If it helps Red, I'll give it a go -
Moore. Barnum-Bobb, Connolly, Turner Fabio. Harris, Kim, Ralls, Burgstaller. Maynard, Velikonja.
There you go - 11 changes.

I will live in shame for the rest of my life for forgetting about someone called Jazzi Barnum-Bobb.
That's a very good looking side by the way, I'd back you over Slade
