Looks like normal negotiations to me, they'll meet somewhere in the middle ...

Sam is a tool. Thats all I have to say on the matter. They've offered him considerable sums and a chance to earn some level of respect from those associated with the club and he's thrown it in people's faces. Most fans dont like him already but I think if he accepted a smaller sum than the outstanding amount and attended games over time the wounds would heal and everyone could have gone forward together enjoying things.

As far as im concerned, if I was in Tan's position, I would pay the £10m the idiot wants and then put a life ban to his name to stop him coming near the club again. What utter disrespect he has shown by telling 'friends' he rejects the offer first instead of coming out like a proper businessman and releasing a formal statement.

I'm sick of the pandering to this bastard and his cronies. If he's been offered £8m but will take £10m to f**k off then I say give him the extra £2m and send him on his way.
But also, we all know who his hangers on are, they love the publicity so the club should publicly name and put life bans on them for ever attending the CCS again.
Let's see what influence they have when their "friend" is sunning himself in Beirut and they are kicking their heels in the car park.
I really hope VT crushes them like the bugs they are.

No one wants to lose face.

A lot will be expected of VT as soon as Sam is paid, perhaps this is why he is happy for it to role on?

Exactly right but there are a number of disappointing elements.

Should this issue drag on throughout the season Sam is more than aware the unrest this will cause as the debt to the Malaysians stack up and there is an underlying current of discontent the Malaysians do not turn this to equity in the wake of the changes to kit and crest whilst the Langston debt is outstanding.

Hopefully this is successfully negotiated in the coming weeks but (and mentioned this before) I still think Langston (Sam) are trying to cling on in the hope the Malaysians turn around the clubs financial sustainability (dare I say profitability) and then look to try and negotiate a portion of debt to equity to once again have an interest in the club.

This could create havoc as how easy would it be for Sam to then come in and say he is 'fighting' for a return to blue, inner circle are once again fed all the ammunition to create the equivalent of civil war amongst the fan base, VT/TG look to exit and in steps 'our saviour' Sam.

Then just start the last ten years or so again.
