Latest: 1-0 Cardiff.

Etien strikes again!

Update: Half time score - City 1 Wurzels 0

Sounds like we were on top and could have had a couple more - Harris seems to be having a good game.

He really should Trash.

It is 4-0 now. Velcro with a hat trick and a Mutch penalty.

What more can Etien do to show he deserves a spot on the bench? Development Squad game - Cardiff City vs Bristol City 3392635135

This is crazy... We didn't ship him out, he's obviously got talent and has a knack of finding the net... He must have put cling film over Malky's personal crapper....

It's getting harder and harder to 'trust in Malky' as Velcros scoring record continues to soar.

Final score is Cardiff City 4 Bristol City 0

Goals: Velikonja 17, 53 and 58 mins. Mutch 61 mins (penalty).

Also disallowed goals for Wharton and Darko.

Another excellent home performance by the sounds of it. I believe they have won something like 8 out of 9 games at home. Matching the first team for making the CCS a fortress which can only be good.

Unsubstantiated rumours on another board that Velcro could be going out on loan possibly to the Wurzels... C'mon Malcolm give the lad a go on the bench

If there is anything in that then they are sure to want to have him on loan after tonight. Apparantly his 3rd goal tonight was real class. The Velikonja saga is becoming one of the most frustrating things of a generally excellent season.

The lad deserves a chance be it here or out on loan. You have to feel for him scoring the way he is yet not even getting time warming the bench at first team level.

I am still hoping that he will have his part to play before the end of the season but who knows.

Not only a hat trick but he literally radiates redness too.

To bring Etien in to the first team squad would mean dropping one of HH or Mason. That's not very likely imo.

This is true, because he cost £1m we are all desperate to see what he can do, but there really isn't room on the bench for him at the moment.

Does anyone have his goals to games ratio for the development team?

Not totally sure but looking through the development games reports it looks like he has scored 10 goals in 7 appearances.

It should be likely. Neither of those players is in particularly good form- Helguson has been awful for months.

This might sound a little off the wall, but perhaps Malky has always seen Velcro as being more suited to Premiership football but has invested in him well in advance.......... Development Squad game - Cardiff City vs Bristol City 4228682415
