Can't see the problem with being second choice. There are always a number of very capable candates for PL jobs, with very much to choose between them. For Sherwood to say this displays an over-inflated opinion of himself.

Also, for "my agent sent a message to Steve (Parish)", read '"threw toys out of pram".

On BBC 24 yesterday they quoted him as saying "it wasn't the right fit for him" which I took to read "there's no feckin money and the club are doomed to relegation".
