It was foolish rhetoric from Gatland About that third consecutive six nations victory... 2854552383 Wales have been average this tournament and England thoroughly deserved their win.

Actually, I've been pleasantly surprised that all
welsh fans I've encountered have been quite graceful in defeat. I've tried to do the same - but Warren Gatland is an arrogant, gobby little weasel that insults everyone he talks to. Telling everyone he is going to win three six nations in a row before playing a single game is disrespectful to every other team in the competition.

Meanwhile Lancaster, English ex and current players, the English press and media have been blowing their horns at full blast for weeks as they do before every soccer or rugby tournament they are in - usually with no end result.
At least we've only got one doing it and he's not Welsh.

Wales, I fear are slipping into a transitional period. Mike Phillips aside, we have no half backs.......has the outside-half factory been demolished in my absence?

Up front, both Adam Jones & Gethin Jenkins are struggling with the latest aberration of the set-scrum law.

The outside half problem has been exacerbated by the continued selection of Priestland when he's been crap for two years. Biggar has been excellent all season and played in last year's annihilation of the saes. There's also Matthew Morgan who's been brilliant for the Ospreys but is joining Bristol because he can't dislodge Biggar. Then we have Hook and possibly the best of all at the Blues in Rhys Patchell but he picked up a bad injury early season after being picked in the welsh squad.
I think selection & tactics are the biggest problems.

You may well be right, but I only see the domestic game from a distance these days. Whatever promise Priestland had as a youngster has all but disappeared.....his choices with ball in hand are woeful..............and his place kicking was pretty awful, which directly led to Leigh Halfpenny stepping up...thank God!

The only other OH I know much about is James Hook, but I think he has suffered from being labelled as a jack of all trades.

As for Rhys Webb, he did well against the French, but was shocking against England. Warts and all, it has to be Phillips to start for me, every time.

I appreciate you probably wouldn't see what was happening at other levels but Patchell in an early Blues game this season kicked a penalty from some way into his own half because it was too far for Halfpenny who was also playing!! It's his first full season and he was being fast tracked into the squad but injured his knee early on.

Sorry TDA, forgot about Owain Williams who signed for Leicester Tigers from the Scarlets last year year and is nowtheir regular outside half and goalkicker.
The factory is still working but the manager insists on using sale goods in the showroom window rather than those straight off the production line.
