If this is true
Peter Odemwingie - undoubtedly the fall guy of the last transfer window in January - looks set to get his move away from West Brom this time round. The Nigeria striker is set to join Cardiff for £4million, according to Sky sources.
Malky is panic buying, never worth half of that, and a 3 year deal.

Scratch that, the first African to play for City? (I'm excluding French-born Gestede)
Anybody know this kind of thing?
Being old and past it does have it's virtues

Acknowledged, but this thread is about POO. We badly needed a cutting edge to supplement the excellent Campbell, hopefully excellent Cornelius, Maynard etc. Maybe POO will deliver (I hope so), but it doesn't alter the fact that we appear to be in a "fall-back" position, having failed to attract the really dynamic winger that we needed.Red614 wrote:I wouldn't be too harsh TDA, even if this is a disappointing end to our business we have still had one of the best windows of any premiership team. Medel is one of the finest players to ever wear a CCS shirt, we have an English international in our defence and we finally have the target man we've wanted.TDA wrote:Very strange signing, a bit in the Tommy Smith mode, perhaps with one season in mind, then move on to someone younger.
Nevertheless, the fact remains that we have failed to land a class winger with what amounted to an open chequebook, but we have to settle for the consolation of an aging player that nobody else will touch. A very poor show indeed.........

As opposed to the Uzbekistan-born Odemwingie?
For those still unsure of our Pete, try reading this blog. It might just change your minds a little...

Here's the thing....you have to take into context what POO brings to the table....if you hang onto POO it can have a damaging effect, however if you let go of POO sometimes that brings relief.
If POO is a runner then POO can cover a lot of ground, if POO is not fit then sticking to the same place will not be looked on favourably.
Whatever way you look at it you would hope that POO won't be viewed on as a pile of s**t......
Oh, sorry, I just realised that we were talking about a player,,,,oops
