First 5 games - how many points?

Aug 17 A West Ham United - 1
Aug 24 H Manchester City - 0
Aug 31 H Everton - 1
Sep 14 A Hull City - 3
Sep 21 H Tottenham Hotspur - 0
I think 5 points is probably realistic - would be happy with that and very happy with more.

I'd say Everton or Spurs at home are beatable.
Having now seen the fixtures, I feel like it's been a massive wake up call.
I'm not optimistic at all. I'm finding it hard to see where ANY points will come from.

Must win the Hull game.
Anything else from those initial matches is a bonus.

Just think after one game we could (should) be above the swans in the table and normal order shall be resumed.
Can’t wait, pumped up and we will surely see Malky’s qualities at the next level as I think he has what it takes.
Welcome to the forum Pugger!
It's a bit quiet on here at moment as it's summer but stick around and it'll pick up.
And yes, everything Malky says and does indicates he's got what it takes to succeed at Premiership level. I bloody hope he does.

Ever the optimist, me. I'd say 15 points. We'll all be in the same boat, nothing known about current form, so let's just hit em before they work out Malky's strategy. (not that it will take anyone very long to do that)

Expect Man City to come racing out of the blocks, a new manager, a multi million pound squad improvement and a newly demanding management. It's going to take a freight train to stop them, and for me what's more important is not getting thrashed rather than not losing. Spurs likewise have a very similar outlook - they could e dominating.
Everton, who knows. They could continue their impressive form, they may begin to rot.
The optimist in me says 9, beating West Ham, Hull and Everton. If I look at it more reservedly, between 4 and 7.

I reckon we'll have a good start; we have a habit of grinding out results and the 'first season in the prem' factor might surprise us all. Either this or we won't pick up a single point.
