88 would probably be enough though i did look up the stats the other day and found that the highest total ever to miss out on an auto spot was 90 by Sunderland. So 91 points just to make sure though i am hoping we become even more dominant in the second half of the season and become one of the few sides to break through the 100 point barrier

Thanks guys I'm glad we've got lots of really astute analysts and pundits on this board However the bottom line is 'its not over until the fat lady sings'... We are in a great position, ironically it could / should have been better, but you can't get an automatic in the first half of the season... December could rip the guts out of us yet... The Valley Chapel pessimist in me thinks after every record breaking home game win that we are one game loser to losing the record... I hope that when it goes, someone takes it rather than we give it away... However let's enjoy the record braking season so far and the latest cracking performance... I hope / believe we'll go up but sometimes for me personally thinking about the future stops me enjoying today....
Let's bet like the Welshfella and let the good times roll

Well if you really want a note of pessimism and caution Trash how about this?
The highest total for a side relegated from the second tier is 52 by both Leicester and Millwall. When Millwall finished on that total they wer top of the table in December after playing 21 games. (They did have 10 less points than us at that point though).
The bottom line is that old cliche of taking it a game at a time or at the most ticking off the games in groups of five. Personally i have the 25, 30, 35 and 40 games marks as our landmarks. If we are still in the top two and averaging 2 points a game or more at the 30 game mark my expectation levels will be rising for sure but if being a City fan has taught me anything especially over these last few years it is that 'it aint over til its over'.

We won't lose another game all season IMO.
44 from 21 games.
25*3 points = 75 points.
75 + 44 = 119 points. I can guarantee we will finish with 119 points.
