The odds on Malky going back to blue are being slashed quicker than a sorority girl in a remote log cabin by a lake....

Malky is a thoughtful, pragmatic bloke. I'm sure he has ambitions beyond us and Everton is clearly a bigger club but there are bigger, richer clubs which might be looking for a new manager over the next year or so and if Malky gets next season right he'll put himself in pole position for somewhere like Newcastle or Sunderland.

Bill Kenwright is looking to sell Everton, so the possibility of a double Malky / Tan desertion (anything is possible with Sam lurking) might be feasible..........until you factor in that Everton would never rebrand to red.

How can you tell one of our most successful manager of all time to "rot in hell" over wanting to further his career. That's absolutely ridiculous and completely childish.
If Malky were to go, then good luck to him. There's plenty more managers in the sea. Martinez would be an ideal candidate. As would O'Neill.
Let's just wait and see shall we.
P.s. no Shearer

Having no PL experience wouldn't necessarily put Everton off Malky. Or at least, it didn't put them off Moyes when they acquired him from Preston.
If it was offered, it could be a close-run decision. Everton are unquestionably a bigger club, but with higher expectations than we have, and Kenwright appears to be a tolerant man to work with. But they have no money, Kenwright may be selling up, and the likes of Baines and Fellaini are likely to be moving on.
If it happens, it happens, that's football, in which case good luck to him and we'll move on. But I hope it doesn't happen.

I think whoever goes to Everton would have to be assured funds. I think there is more potential at City than Everton for Malky, but Everton's top division "stickability" has got to be tempting for any manager looking for a "safe" option. However, it might be a question of whether there is sufficient scope to kick on and make Everton a top four club that would tempt Malky.
On the other hand, I see Neil Lennon is being mooted as favourite for Everton, which might leave a vacancy at Celtic..........
