God I hope that's wrong or the price is beaten down. On the universal scale of transfers, is he really worth 3.5 michu's? They raise a good point that its a hell of a lot of money for a striker with only 3 goals in 25 appearances this season.

I'm going to start making up a football chant about the men in black playing up front, just in case.
Steady on Red, we've just tip-toed around one racially sensitive thread.....

That was wasted on the younger crowd I think.

I'm afraid you made racism when there wasnt any, I was referring to the men in black actors Tommy Lee JONES, and Will SMITH. Cater in the fact we tend to play in black away from home, and I thought I had the makings of a good joke.
Alas, it was apparently lost

Alias Smith & Jones, which predated Alas Smith & Jones was an excellent Western series with Ben Murphy & Pete Duell, later replaced by the programme's narrator Rodger Davis.......who strangely spelled his name the same way as the Glamorgan opening batsman of the time.

Indeed, a fondly remembered series that was often much funnier than Alas Smith and Jones. It was never the same after Pete Duell died.TDA wrote:G-ster wrote:The Tonker wrote:If he teamed up with Tommy Smith up front, some might find our forward line something of a joke, alas.Arkay Dubya wrote:Maybe Malky thinks with a surname like Jones he might endear himself to us Welsh fans?

The Glamorgan opening batsman spelt his surname the same, but lacked the unusual 'd' in his first name. He was a brilliant close fielder, and I remember seeing him almost get killed once by taking a full blooded shot to the head at short leg. No helmets in those days.

The ball is round, so it can roll on the floor. If it was meant to fly through the air it would be shaped like an arrow.
Hope we don't sign Jones, don't want to play that sort of hoofball.

Mirror now linking us with Robson-Kanu:

So we can forget about him, then.

Would be a good signing IMO, but one of Reading's best players in a s**t season. Will be overpriced so not really worth it.

Interesting that there is also a reference to an enquiry for Ledley in the Robson-Kanu story.......
