Looks like Leeds are still in a poor place despite their big takeover. They are trying to dampen rumours they want to offload the club after only a few months and have said they are trying to sell shares in a bid to raise enough capital to spend some money on players. If I was a Leeds fan I would take this as a bad sign![url=http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11715/8579819/Championship-Leeds-United-s-owners-deny-club-is-up-for-sale-again]

Having to look in the mirror everyday and realising you are a Leeds fan...now there's a scary thought...

I was up there for a year with work and they are so anti-Cardiff City I had to be extremely careful who I told about my City supporting...I really don't like the place. Horrible as it sounds I would love it if Leeds keep dropping down the divisions or disappear altogether

Likewise, they're a pretty horrific excuse for a football club nowadays. If you ask a non football fan what a football fan looks like the normal answer is track suit, Burberry cap, racist and with an aggressive personality. They're not really wrong, only football fans would point out that what they've specifically described is a Leeds fan
Saying that, I'd like to think the Leeds fan staring at himself in the mirrors second thought, after 'oh god I'm a Leeds fan', would be 'well, at least I'm not a Millwall fan'.

Cyncoedslumdog has a friend who is a well known journalist and he said that Millwall is actually a really nice friendly club on and off the pitch, aside from some of their fans. Leeds are actually worse as they are unpleasant on AND off the pitch!
Was it this season that they were ripping out some our chairs and Warnock praised them for being a great support?
It's likely that Leeds will be playing, if they are lucky, in the championship for the next decade. Too big a club to continue to plummet...(big club because of their fanbase only)
I don't like the club at all.

Maybe too big to plummet to League 2 but they have already spent recent time in League 1. The fact that Forest, Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday have too lately shows that relegation from the Championship is always an option whatever club you are.

For a foreign investor (a Far Eastern, Tan-like figure, if you like) looking at English football, Leeds must be an attractive proposition. A club with a genuine rich heritage and a huge fan base already in place.
I don't think the club would come with as much baggage as City did, so I wouldn't be surprised if they did become another "Far Eastern Franchise"......and they have the precedent in place of already having changed their club colours back in the 1960s......

Well they have more significant debt than City and rent their ground from the council, whereas we own our ground unless we enter administration. Leeds have also got a lot of monthly repayments to various debtors. In their favour they could achieve bigger attendances than us

I don't know how much debt is still hanging around after administration, but the 2010 and 2011 accounts look pretty healthy. It just seems that they need a Tan-like capital investment on the playing side to kick start everything.

My hatred of Leeds extends back to this ginger tw@t (for those not young enough to know he is the curly headed surrender monkey in this black and white photo) ... If only Dave Mackay had followed through...
