Anyone who's shopping depended on the packaging over the quality of the product surely deserves to be called stupid? Brand association goes along with how people see themselves but who'd prefer to be associated with Poundland rather than Harrods?
Looks like you can take people out of a failed society but you can't take the failure out of said person. People who select on the basis of packaging generally do so because they are unsure of the quality of the product, and they use the packaging as some sort of proxy guide to the quality. An unreliable guide, to be sure, but possibly slightly better than selecting at random.

When it comes to the packaging of a football club (to take an entirely random example), people who have been regular attenders over the years know the quality of the product inside out, and wouldn't be put off by cosmetic changes to the packaging such as shirt colour, club name etc...........would they?

But if the quality of the product has improved beyond anything they would have experienced to date would it not be madness to want to continue with the old?

About time they employed some proper software engineers instead of people off the streets looking for work experience. When buying, what's more important, quality or packaging? 635981802

When it comes to clothes, I'll buy anything that fits and is cheap. Women the same.
