Northern Premier League side Kendal Town FC have signed a frankly ridiculous sponsorship deal that will see the players wear fake beards at all times – training, travelling and warming-up.
Kendal have signed a deal with US firm Rosetta Trading, who produce the ‘Beard Beanie’ – a woolly hat with a knitted beard stitched onto it.

They look like Assyruian/Persian beards depicted on ancient statues. With the coming of Armaggedon it might be wise to hedge one's bets and buy one "just in case". If not needed you can always sell it to kids wanting to look older to buy cigarettes and liquor.
