Think this deserves its own thread on... everything that could happen tomorrow and what is needed elsewhere...
So as it stands.. Wales need to win tomorrow and Georgia need to draw or win against Serbia so we qualify automatically
IF Wales win and Georgia lose.. we go into the playoffs... but I have no idea how they decide who we play...can someone elaborate??
Im sure Rob Phillips did a section on his show of if we score x amount of goals we can avoid the big teams etc.. but again not sure!!!
Will Ben Woodburn start??

I think the top 4 second placed teams are seeded for the playoffs and so avoid each other. At the moment, I think Wales are 5th or 6th, so may need to improve their goal difference, unless other teams slip up.
I can't see Serbia slipping up again, so a win against the Irish will be vital. It's going to be a tremendous atmosphere and I hope Wales just play their natural game.

Wales are already among the top seeds, so we will avoid Portugal and Italy (can't remember the other side).
We will also be top-seeded if we reach the WC finals as it stands.

Is that by virtue of world ranking?

Anyone got a ticket for tonight, or relying on S4C?

Didn't realise Ireland are currently 7 games undefeated against Wales

Yes, we've not had much success against them in the recent past. As I recall, the games have been usually pretty dour affairs. Tonight might be different, as RoI have to go for the win. Conceding an early goal might be disastrous for Wales, as the Irish are so well organised defensively and would almost certainly sit back and tough it out.
Daryl Murphy's goals on Friday were well taken, but Williams & co mustn't allow him that amount of space in the box.

I think Wales should win, even without Bale.
RoI don't have anyone of the class of Ramsey or Allen and Tom Lawrence will be full of confidence and could be a handful for them.

Yes I think it is.
Unless we go three up in the first five minutes, I'm so nervous I'm not looking forward to this. I didn't even try to get a ticket because there's no sofa to hide behind at the ground.

One change - Vokes out, Robson-Kanu in.
Agree with that.

Much more importantly, Callum Paterson has just equalised for City U23's at Blackburn.

I see BBC favouring Ireland, That prat Townsend commenting for them, Irish bias, from someone who qualified for them by holidaying in Cork one year.

Joe Allen off. That's a major blow. Everything was going through him. I think this is going to be a long second half.
