Not a bad squad, I think they'll get out of the group stage.
Brazil are confirming their final 18 later this week; the 35-man preliminary list contains some very good players - e.g. Dani Alves, Hulk, Neymar, Alex Pato.

What happened to Bale then? I've been away this weekend so havent been up to date with it all, was it just due to injury he pulled out?

That front 6 looks formidable to be fair. A good mixture between experience and talent. I'm pleased for giggs - he's deserves a decent opportunity at an international medal.
I can see this team GB idea developing into something quite interesting over the next few Olympics.

Brazil confirmed their 18 players yesterday, and have picked a very strong squad:
Goalkeepers: Rafael Cabral (Santos), Neto (Fiorentina)
Defenders: Marcelo (Real Madrid), Rafael (Manchester United), Danilo (Porto), Alex Sandro (Porto), Thiago Silva (AC Milan), Juan (Inter Milan), Bruno Uvini (Sao Paulo)
Midfielders: Romulo (Vasco da Gama), Ganso (Santos), Oscar (Internacional), Sandro (Tottenham Hotspur), Lucas (Sao Paulo)
Forwards: Neymar (Santos), Alexandre Pato (AC Milan), Leandro Damiao (Internacional), Hulk (Porto).

They're playing Egypt at the Millenium Stadium - worth £20 to see if the fuss over Neymar is warranted.

Neymar is overrated.
Lucas Moura is the best up and coming Brazilian.
