Been on the cards ever since the new contract details were leaked.  Looks like an initial loan deal to get him off the wage bill with a permanent transfer in the summer.  I suppose a saving of £910,000 on wages is a fair trade off against no transfer fee in the summer.

It's not as if he has consistently made a contribution in line with what he is being paid.  Fault all round there, I feel.

Hopefully the saving will be well spent on the team.

Yup, decent player when he chooses to turn up. This is a good deal for us especially if it frees up cash for Watt and A.N.Other

Hopefully a fee is involved, not gonna be great amount, only has a few months on his contract left, wouldn't suprise me if it's about 150k, but it's all money and its frees his massive wages

Not too fussed about a fee, as it will probably be insignificant in comparison to the savings we'd make on his wages.

Find myself getting increasingly annoyed with him actually. Considering the amount of time Slade and the fans have given him to prove his worth, to be 'too distracted' to play for the team he's contracted for is very insulting. Remember that clip of him sprinting to get on the end of that header for his national side? Would it hurt him to put that level of effort in for at least a couple of weeks? Won't hurt his chances of finding a higher paying suitor - but apparently too lazy even for that...

I wouldn't say he is the 'utter b*sterd' level that Wilfried Zaha reached when he was with us, but he's getting there...

Allegedly wanted by a team in Shanghai managed by Sven Goran Ericson. Wanted initially on loan which would be a cheaper way of getting him presumably.

Six months wages would be about £900,000.  Hopefully all of that will be a saving to City, even if they don't take a loan fee.

The Chinese have super money, I'd demand a huge loan fee along with them taking all of his wages
