Good news at renal clinic today....weights coming off fine, blood vessels in legs are perfect the transplant team will be discussing my wife's case at next meeting so could be on list pretty soon, though transplant could still be a little while away because kidneys need to be working between 5 and 7%, at moment she is between 9 and 10% and have been for a year now. Thought I would share this with you guys

We know two people who have been through this and both successfully. It was a long haul in both cases, but quality of life was so much better at the end of it.

ronnie, have been aware of the story, but it was the percentages that confused me. now if you had said alcohol by volume that would have been different!

Sorry dave, the percentages refer to what percentage the kidney functions at. I know anything under 25% is the start of kidney failure. So the "magic" figure we are looking for just now is 7%
