City and county share a common history. we were both set-up to keep a local cricket team together during the winter months. In our case it was Riverside cc and in Derby’s case it was the more illustrious Derby CCC. something else that we have in common is that we both had brown and gold in our original shirt colour
We play Steve McClaren’s Derby County who at the time of writing are 5th in the Championship table and like many of the top teams are confident of a return to the top flight. By contrast, we could do with a big slice of Derby’s confidence as our safety is yet to be guaranteed.
Derby County, known as the rams were formed in 1884 and their current ground is the ipro stadium with a capacity of 33,500. They will probably play in their home colours of a white top with black shorts as their away strip is navy blue.
City, back to their traditional blue and at home in the Cardiff City Stadium need the points. Maybe inspiration for victory can be found here

Chris Martin, Johnny Russell, Will Hughes.....
...... proper attacking flair and a cut above anything we have left in our squad. We'll be hard pushed to cope with them on the evidence of recent defensive displays.

Forgot about Darren Bent as well, who should score for fun at this level. Got two against Blackburn last night, so coming into form. Jolly good........

As a result of watching last Saturday, I decided not to get a ticket for today and have since turned down two freebies. I really hope they surprise me and win but I couldn't face the prospect of watching kick and rush (jog?) and defeat twice in a week.
