Danny Johnson joins Rhys Healey and Joe Mason on loan. He started for Tranmere last night.

Yes, saw that yesterday. He only has a one year contract with City, so needs to be playing regularly to show if he is as good as the stats suggest.

Velcro may even get a game for the Devpt Team soon if we keep loaning out fringe strikers.

Healey scored a cracker for Colchester last night. He's been doing well there.

Micky Adams at Tranmere is a good manager and has done well in the past at much higher levels. That said, Tranmere has always struck me as a club that thrives on continuity and long service of their managers.

They haven't really recovered from deciding to sack Ronnie Moore over betting issues, but I would be surprised if Adams doesn't do a good job there.

Healey has 3 goals in 4 appearances for Cheltenham, despite his only regular professional experience before them being in the much weaker Welsh leagues. At this rate he's heading towards being top league scorer.

He really does appear to be something special.

You heard it here first! Velcro played on Wednesday afternoon along with Turner and Dikgacoi at Crewe - they lost their first match of the season!

I'm not sure how strong they are these days, but in times gone by Crewe had a top reputation for developing home grown talent. Dario Gradi and years of continuity within the club had much to do with that.
