FIFA League of Nations

So, the footballing fantasy of all my childhood Spectrum game playing dreams finally looks like happening:

I actually really like the idea, even if it does seem it might need some fine tuning BUT I have a feeling that there might be a club revolt over this and I would expect more players to suddenly be "injured" during the game weeks.
Let's hope it doesn't end up like the old League of Nations - great in theory but a ruddy disaster in practice.
Any thoughts?

Sounds awesome!
For a while now the international friendly breaks has been seen by most as a nuisance. If Wales were to start playing in an international, albeit the third tier, league with a view of promotion, now that would be flippin' brilliant and would make watching international games (other than finals) enjoyable again!

'England would likely be in a top tier'
This is 5 years away (if it does happen)! Who knows how s**t they will be by then?
And Bale will probably be past his best by the time this happens.

To be fair Bale is only 24 - 29 and he is still maturing.
... and you never know, Giggs might decide to come back out of international retirement especially for the league?

So if we play with a back three who all play in the left full-back position, with Bale ahead of them, we will be awesome (provided teams do not attack through the middle or down our right)
It does sound a better proposition than the present system which creates animosity between the clubs and national organisations.
