He's a decent player. But there are plenty of good centre backs out there...what happened to Hector Moreno? We were after him in the summer and all we had to do was pay £6m? Or Harry Maguire at Sheff Utd? Is he too young? Or play Medel there and get another anchor man in until the summer but for god's sake lets not sign someone s**t or we should have just signed Leon Barnett in the summer as he isn't the greatest but could at least do a decent job!

In fairness, a lot of Wigan fans are going nuts about us signing Ramis as they don't want to let him go. And he wasn't involved in last seasons relegation as he was injured from January on, which is when things got worse for them. He was highly rated in Spain prior to his move to Wigan.

How much has he played this season? I read somewhere that he was still having injury problems.

He is still struggling a lot. But he's much more comfortable on the ball than Huds or Turner and prefers being the left sided centre back. He played alongside Swansea's Chico at Mallorca and was the better of the two apparently.

He will do a decent job for us if he stays fit and will provide a better defensive option alongside Caulker than our present players.

Looks like he has only played 7 times this season.........contrast that to Leon Barnett who has started all 34 games for Wigan so far.

That is due to injury though, Ramis seems to be viewed as the better defender by those on Twitter and our scouts, otherwise we would have signed Barnett permanently in the summer

I understand that, but I was highlighting their respective durabilities.........

Ah I understand your point! Yes it is a worry. Perhaps we feel we have a higher calibre of physiotherapist than Wigan?! Maybe he is close to full fitness again...
