I can only assume his presence in the dressing room is positive?

He's a workaholic - if you put him on the field he may well miss the target with every pass and shot he attempts, but he will never stop running. He'll chase his man all the way back to the box, and chase him all the way back to his own goalkeeper.
Basically he's the type of player Malky likes, in contrast to more tactically adept but defensively lazy than players like Noone.

Not at all, what Malky likes isn't nessecerily what I like. I'm a fan of classic tactics - defenders defend, attackers attack. Noone is one of our best wingers on the attack, he shouldn't have to worry about defence as that's for the guys behind him. You don't see Messi, Ronaldo, Ibra or Falcao critiscised for their poor defensive abilities, do you?davewebber65 wrote:not keen on noone then?
Malky unfortunately likes to put 11 players out to defend, and once in a blue moon a couple might charge forward.

The problem is he likes us to have overlapping fullbacks. KTC has done a pretty good job in the Prem at this because he is a decent all-rounder but when you have Taylor at left back who is more vulnerable you have to have a more defensively capable winger in front of him.Red614 wrote:Not at all, what Malky likes isn't nessecerily what I like. Meanwhile top teams can afford to have players with no defensive input etc as their defence is so good that they can accommodate them.
