In that case, I'll start the pre-match thread and we can all share your optimism...**Official Pre-Match Thread - City v Arsenal** 1525230823

The first real test for our new-found optimism. I just hope City are positive from the start, as given our team's work rate, they can potentially knock any team out of its rhythm. The danger occurs if we sit back and let the opposition use us as a coconut shy.

I expect the same starting team as Man Utd, although Bellamy might get the nod over Odemthingy. Our midfield strength from the bench will be even more vital in this game. Campbell's goal last weekend shows that we can play some lovely incisive football and that will, no doubt, surprise a few teams yet.......not sure whether Arsenal will be one of those.

I cannot bring myself to predict a City defeat, so I'll go 1 - 1.....and a few beers after...........beer

1-0 to City and all of the teams around us to slip up allowing us to leap frog to mid table. I honestly think that there is no pressure on this match and given the freedom I think we have nothing to lose. If the crowd really get up for this then there is no reason we can't cause an upset. No-one expects us to win this one so why not go for it

Going to be difficult to win the battle in midfield. If we can get a decent share of possession they are not happy with crosses or set plays.Be nice to see Cornealius get 25 min against their back 4 with some decent crosses coming in.
Always optermistic 1-0 city the big dane last 5 mins another headache and my clothes in black bags.

I'm actually more confident of three points in this one than I was against Man City, Man United and Spurs. Just can't help but feel Arsenal are in a false position. That said, it would still be a shock if we were to pick up a point.

I can't see us living with Ozil, Ramsey, Cazorla and Giroud. Although they will be helpless everytime they have to defend one of our set pieces

Yes, I can see a few goals on this one too!

Two from set pieces for us, two from open play for them.

2-2 Turner and Mutch & Ramsey and Giroud
