I had low expectations going into the game, and would have accepted defeat as long as the City team were competitive and not embarrassed.
A draw was a great result but the positive intent shown against last season's Champions was a major bonus.

Fair play to Marshall again, great save from Fellaini's header.

Also, I haven't seen any TV footage since getting home from the match but it seemed as though Rooney should have scored immediately after City's second goal?

Yes gster, it would have been much easier from Rooney to score the winner. It was a sitter, tbf though he was just trying not to be selfish.

A bit justice actually

i always thought we could take these guys as there was no fergie factor.

next week i think it could be a different matter. fair play we did play well and took the game to them as gwyn said everybody put in a shift. nice to see kim on the sheet and noone on the pitch.

We should be okay, but the team selection and tactics wil be vital.  Campbell is clearly a better option than Odemthingy up front, but Odemthingy put in an excellent shift in support.  A bit like Kim, he needs to appreciate better when to hold and when to pass.

Noone, IMO, showed he has a part to play.  He does offer something different and is a real handful when his confidence is up.
