Given recent events, to me a big question is whether Tan would trust Malky in the January window, particularly if City are struggling.  

Tan has to keep City in the PL to protect his investment, but, whether (in his mind) he would be prepared to throw more good money after bad by funding more Malky purchases seems doubtful.  

However, he may well be prepared to back a new man at that time, so I do wonder, if points aren't picked up over the next couple of games, whether Tan will feel obliged to move sooner than later.
