Just finally got around to watching the City v City (or Dragons v Tigers, if you prefer) highlights.

Hard to judge from 5 minutes but both The Don and Catherine looked like they had useful games. Anybody watch the full game who can confirm?

Thought The Don might be on his way out but looks like he could prove useful at Premiership level after all.

I watched the game on a First Row stream which was actually pretty good.

I thought Don Cowie had the best game for City that I have seen. He really was excellent. Also, Katie-Cathy, who took a while to pick up the pace and physicality of the "English" game, looked a real find as the game went on and his confidence grew.

That sounds promising and Gloves has pointed out an interesting stat, The Don has more assists than any other Premiership player so far this season. Early days, granted.

^^

He's one of those players who look to be more of an asset in the PL than in the Championship. Players such as Conway and Noone are, unfortunately, the opposite.

I would like to see Noone given a chance soon. He does have pace and a trick or two and could be an "impact player" if used properly.

KTC both really impressed me and blew my 'KTC defends, Brayford attacks' theory right out of the window. Not only did he prove to be a brick wall in attack but he seemed to be very happy overlapping on the right wing and throwing some pretty tidy crosses in. With Brayford still missing out, it's looking like an even stranger saga than the Velikonja c**k up. How did Malky get it so wrong after scouting him for so long?

Cowie looked like he could of made a difference against Everton given the chance, instead he got shackled into playing backup right back as Connolly seemed determined to get forward and screw things up as often as possible. When he actually got the chance to lead a break you felt the crowd begin to roar with excitement. The same thing happened against hull, with the added bonus he wasn't hindered by having to keep one eye on his right back.

Taylor had a poor game against Hull but that's been in stark contrast to his very impressive form elsewhere. We have a great pairing forming at fullback, and they could play an integral part to our success.
