I have no problems getting the above on my PC or laptop but can't get live commentary on my iPad. Any advice, anyone?

The app version of the player doesn't offer live commentary, last time I checked. I haven't used it in a while though.

Barrie did say it was a feature they were looking into. I guess they haven't done it yet though.
