So if ince deal falls through, I gather he would have a reserve in mind? And if that fails does that have a reserve too?

I hope so, otherwise the squad is going to be thin on quality.
We were told that the extra month we had by not being in the playoffs was important in the planning process, as it gave us a head start on other clubs, but here we are, well down the road with not much to show for it.
By now, I would have expected more signings that had been conducted under the radar like Cornelius, but what we see are higher profile transactions, like Ince & Wanayama, that seem unlikely to come off.
Agents could be to blame for the publicity, but I hope that this isn't a general departure from the way business has been conducted since Malky arrived. If so, the question has to asked whether he is out of his depth in tying up such deals?

I hope he doesn't have a reserve in mind, I'd much rather a first team player.
Most of our new players last season weren't signed up until August. Deals at this stage are bound to take longer simply because people (eg Ince) just have more time in which to weigh up their options. There's still plenty of time to go.

Most teams haven't done much business, it's only a few teams like Swansea (boo, hiss), West Ham, Norwich and Hull who are signing lots of players and in Hull's case the players are crap.
