Had a thought earlier, could it be that Tan has decided to begin work on the stadium quicker than we expected for a reason?
The Ninian Stand will be ready by next summer just in time for... the UEFA Super Cup. Will obviously be a full house which will mean extra income and could he be touting it as a future venue for more games of that ilk? Maybe, just maybe he is also thinking about the potential of the Euro's and our joint bid with Scotland. He could well have a better head for football than some people give him credit for

Possibly. I've always seen him as a canny businessman, it was more his bullishness to push this through that has taken me back.
It'll be interesting to see the cosmetic changes to the stadium too. There were hints by Barrie on Twitter that the giant Joe and Gunnar will be replaced before the new season - maybe our new Danish friend will be featured?
I'd imagine - to those who care about such things - whether the seats will finally turn red will be a hot topic of debate too.

you have to be a wee bit canny to become a billionaire!
it wouldn't surprise me if they were replaced every season, marketing for each seasons kit if nothing else.
haha well those that do care will be half pleased, the original blue seats won't be replaced, or even dyed as it is a huge waste of money. even if the new seats or paint was free you would still have to pay the labour, it's a completely unnecessary cost which, bringing us back to tan's canny-ness, won't be incurred. apparently the seats in the new sections will however be red
