not 1 but 2 mentions in the bbc gossip column, granted one is about kalou but the other reckons adam le fondre and bobby zamora. would definitely take adam le fondre i think hes quality, said it to my mate a few weeks back. zamora is a tricky one, is he still hungry enough? would make a great squad player, wages might be too much though.

and some bloke called geoff hurst who apparently used to play back in the day... talking about playing up here in the early 60s, i dare say theres a few on here aged enough to remember that :P great quote though, 'its a shame we've had to wait 51 years'. nice one geoff

By Christopher Priest! I would very happily take Le Fondre, no thanks to Zamora. Didn't he recently say that he doesn't like football anymore and finds it boring?

haha wow! its amazing he still gets picked. if i was his manager he wouldnt even get in the reserve side after saying that. granted he's not the only person in britain who doesnt like his job but that would be like dave cam saying he doesnt like politics or helping people, that second but may be true actually...

Well, he didn't say he doesn't like playing, only that he doesn't like watching football. I'm not sure I'd want to spend my leisure time watching someone else do the job I do.

I still wouldn't particularly want to see him here, though.

Le Fondre would be the only one worth considering out of those 3, but arguably too similar in stature to Campbell/Maynard.
