Hull and Watford. Both have far easier run ins than we do! The slip begins!

Your a big fat bundle of joy. Their also 6 and 9 points behind. Given the choice which position do you think either of them would prefer to be in.

We actually played well tonight - this was nothing like the shambolic performances at the end of previous seasons. The main thing that concerns me is that our strikers generally can't hit a cow's arse with a shovel.

We will get there. How much help we need from Hull and Watford dropping points as opposed to us getting the job done ourselves remains to be seen.

It's all in our own hands. Points on the board, and any other cliches you can think of. I think Watford would have to win all 5 five games and even then miss out. As a matter of interest, a question for anyone that has been to any development matches, would Velcro have made a difference. We seem have created more than enough opportunities tonight.

Hull and Watford have 2 games at home and 3 away. We have 3 at home and 2 away. There's no reason to be pessimistic with the lead we have.

I go to Devpt games regularly (I have to since TDA appointed me Manager) and my feeling is yes. He may not be as physical as some other players but he is sharp in the box and with the amount of possession we had tonight, somebody like him could get on the end of something when the game starts to open up and players tire. Helguson may be more physical but he missed three glaring chances tonight after he came on. whereas Velcro would be more of a game changing sub in my view.

Hopefully we can put in the right performance until the final whistle in our next two games and do it ourselves. It just wouldn't surprise me if we didn't win either and ended up having promotion confirmed because Watford drop enough points in the next 2 to 3 games.
I am not being down on the over all performance which had many plus points - the first half was one of the most one sided 0-0's i can remember seeing. It is just that with a less than lethal strikeforce and Malky's insistence on trying to sit back on single goal leads rather than building on them i am not really sure where or when our wins are coming.

Thanks cyncoed. Seems like everything was working quite effectively but for the finishing. Although Steele does seem to have played a belter.
