I think not.......
Too much pressure being ramped up by the Press and from other quarters. I can see him ending up abroad by the end of the season.

i don't think the decision will be di canios.' it may well be down to the pressure that the sunderland board can take.

Exactly right Dave. I am sure that Di Canio would try to tough it out, but Sunderland have already lost sponsorship, so there are financial considerations as well as the adverse publicity.

It just goes to show that anyone is fair game if the Press can work an angle that will sell a few papers.
The whole issue is that much more high profile and easier to exploit as he is newly arrived at Sunderland. It would have been far harder to discredit him at Swindon where he was some sort of Messiah and was actually putting his own money in to keep the club going.

I've heard he's been offered a position of Youth Police and Crime Commissioner ...

Hasn't helped today when he said "I brought Larson off because he had pulled a Mussolini, sorry muscle".

QPR and Reading are almost certainly relegated, and Sunderland are a better team than Aston Villa, and they can give Wigan a run for their money. Basically, if he can keep the teams heads up I think they'll be safe an Aston Villa will free fall.
Next season, not so sure. Keeping your team afloat is one thing, but then getting a whole new and fresh slate is a different job entirely.

Regardless of what happens on the field, the knives are out for Di Canio and the Press clearly feel they could have another "scalp" in the bag if they can keep the whole facist thing in the spotlight.
You're quite right Red, in that it should be the success or otherwise of this and next season that should be the deciding factor, but we live in a country where the morbid facination with a witch hunt often overrides common sense and decency.
