If you suddenly came into enough money to buy a box for a season would you?
I disussed it with someone the other day and wasnt sure as you dont really get to enjoy the atmosphere, songs etc from in there, but is it worth it for the comfort?

I'd have to try it before committing to it.
What do you get?

I've been in the box seats. Comfort and warmth, that's the only extra you get. Oh and free tea at half time. Come to think of it the amount of money I spend on tea down that place, a bloody box would have paid for itself by now!

you get asked if you want a or b instead of having to queue for it, you do get your own private bar, attractively staffed and if you want can wander around, sit in comfort and chat to others. it is the sort of facility that i can appreciate at my tender age

I have been lucky enough to have been in boxes and enjoyed corporate hospitality in the past, although not at City. You do lose atmosphere and feel detached from things, but you also arrive at an age where the convenience and comfort is appealing.
So, a yes and no answer in some ways, but in an ideal world, I'd prefer seats on the halfway line with hot and cold running Clarks pies...

If I was wealthy enough it would be a box all the way.... Fill it with my valley dufus mates... and sip Cristal into promotion.... And sip Cristal into relegation next year....
Oh wait if I could afford a box I'd support Barceloa and get a box there....

a few years ago i was in a box owned by denel aviation at loftus versfeld, pretoria and saw the blue bulls play the sharks. on that occasion i was a guest and did not pay for anything. great time, great food and ended up on saki and salt.
was also in a box here when we played newcastle united. did enjoy that too. shudder to think what it cost

I think if I had the money to afford a box, I could probably think of plenty of other things to spend it on that would have a higher priority.

The trouble with corporate hospitality (at City or elsewhere) is you often end up spending time with a bunch of kents who you wouldn't normally give the time of day.
Getting your own box would mean you could be with people of your choosing. It's also nice to avoid the excessive queues for drinks/pies elsewhere in the ground.
The desire to 'keep it real' diminishes as you get older. NQAT.
