I went to Aintree as part of a stag do last year, it was horrible. I got there hungover from a night in Manchester the night before. As soon as I got there I was given an earful from a bunch of anti horse racing protesters, making me think 'yeh, they've got a good point, why am I here? I hate horse racing'. My hangover didnt clear up, I was freezing, had nowhere to sit, paid £7 for a basic meal and didn't have a winner all day.
All in all I hated the experience and would never do it again and have decided that the Grand National is wrong and that animals shouldnt die for the sake of sport.
That said, I've just pulled out Saint Are out in the work sweepstake.
