am not sure, but think i can recall him being called after some guy. anyway, the point of this post is that i have held the view for some time that bartley is a complete waste.
i thought gunnerasaurous was fine at the emerates and that the mascot at london road was out of the top drawer. whoever it was did an outstanding job on the opposition fans in winding them up and helping to create an atmosphere. why can't we consign bartley to an early grave and have a re-design as either a welsh dragon or bluebird.
at the moment he is embarrassingly stupid

Bartley Wilson is the man credited with founding the original Riverside Football Club, and was the CCFC secretary for many years. He also had a 9-month spell as manager in the 30s.
The mascot does little to honour his memory, and I'm not sure who his companion is meant to be. I'd be happier with no mascot at all.
Rhys, we need a grumpy old fart smiley......

When I saw the recent incarnations I thought he looked like a valley ram exiting a drinking establishment who's sole purpose was to frighten children into not crossing the barriers onto the pitch.

How about we get a couple of foam body suits made up to look like a comedic Abu Qatada and Abu Hamza... I'm sure a jolly representation of the chuckle some clerics will get both sets of fans going... Particularly that hook handed one eyed lovable scoundrel Hamza.... Perhaps we could called then Ebbw Qatada and Ebbw Hamza to appeal to a South East Wales fan base....

What's Tattoo from Fantasy Island up to these days? He make a fantastic Kim Jong-Un to give us a mascot evil trinity.
