In honour of our footballing clash and Celtic cousins, a battle of music shall ensue. Here's one Welsh tune followed by one Scottish - feel free to follow suit, och aye butty...

One of my favourite SFA songs (not least because of it's City links)

And one of my favourite named bands

Although i am proud that there has been some cracking Welsh music i have to say that in a battle between the two Scottish music would win for my tastes. More strength in depth with their music than we have - top stuff for a relatively small nation The **OFFICIAL** Wales V Scotland music thread 1525230823

Yup, got to agree. It takes me a lot longer to think of good Welsh music but I can think of plenty of Scottish ones. We are a smaller nation though AND we didn't produce The Proclaimers The **OFFICIAL** Wales V Scotland music thread 692773407

Wildly out of date in so many ways but it still makes me grin wildly

Here's something a bit different. The first is from a guy from Penarth who was a few years below me in school. He's been quietly making a name for himself which culminated with him collaborating with Underworld (Rick Smith, from Wales) and Danny Boyle (from Scotland) on the Olympic Soundtrack last year.

It may not be to everyone's taste, but give it a try...

This second one is from a Scottish friend of mine and an absolute legend. As well as being a first class cameraman he also dabbles with music on the side and just to give it that home spun (well, as home spun as the internet gets The **OFFICIAL** Wales V Scotland music thread 3392635135) there's no youtube link, just a crazy bandcamp URL - MADNESS!

I ruddy love that tune and even sounds a bit Scottish with some bagpipe synth (it's also free to download The **OFFICIAL** Wales V Scotland music thread 1525230823)
