An idea...who'd be interested?

First topic message reminder :
Right, so, a thought occurred. For various reasons, we weren't able to arrange a get together for the GLORIOUS Awards Ceremony last year but how about this...
A RBMB five-a-side game.
Now, I effectively stopped playing football at 29 due to injury but I would come out of retirement for one last hurrah on the basis that this would just be a kickabout with some mates, nothing too serious (we might end up being over-subscribed in the goalie department - an RBMB exclusive! ). It'd give us a chance to say hello, put names to faces (if you want to, of course) and pretend that we're good footballers for an hour.
I was thinking we wait until end of April/May as it gives plenty of time to make plans, it won't be so cold if we want to play outside PLUS - and here's the main reason - City might very well be promoted by then. If we play Saturday morning, we could grab some food/beer/meth and then head off to the CCS to watch and bask in our promotion triumph*
We don't have to do all of that, of course, but it's just an idea. Who'd be interested? I reckon we need 8-10 absolute definites to make it work. It could be a good laugh and I'd very much want to see Red perform a Rabona, Trash fall over his own two feet and Lenwicks Welsh Gran be a 'fox in the box'.
*I feckin' hope

I'm always up for a game. I play 5-a-side 2 or 3 times a week and I'm training for a half marathon at the moment, so best stick me on the opposite side to Dono I think!

I played Sunday league almost 20 years ago. Remember injuring our player/coach in a Pre season knock about. Timing has been something of an issue from time to time.
Based in Ireland nearly eight years now, so logistics are something of a problem too.

On the lash while playing though right Trash? Think how great you'll be at the traditional two-pint peak.

Could play at Gol over in Leckwith.
Too modern for me sorry. There's just no atmosphere or soul. I would much prefer we play at Roath Rec.

One assumes it will be party time at the CCS then...
