This is obviously the better thread, more in depth analysis I'd say

And my title is capitalised ... if that doesn't swing it I don't know what else will :laughingabit:
To be honest, I know im no expert or anything, but have to disagree with him - last season was a lot tougher in regards to both the teams that came up and those who went down.
Southampton & Brighton were bloody tough teams - west ham showed their class are were unlucky not to go up automatically with the amount points they had (which were enough for Norwich the previous season!)
Looking at the teams coming down, its only Bolton that is really a concern. Blackburn are a club in turmoil atm and wolves, who had the crappest squad in the PL, have now just hot a manager with no experience of the English leagues, nevermind the very particular Championship.
In conclusion, I fancy we will have a better chance this year than we last year.

I agree with this. The 3 teams that went up were easily the strongest and i fancy our chances against any of the 3 that came down.

Completely disagree with him.
Every pundit pretty much says this every season, and it never turns up to be. By the end of August, the relegated teams will have lost their top players, evening it all up somewhat.
Then the promoted teams, nobody knows how they will do, assuming though that they won't be as successful as Soton and Norwich have been in recent seasons.
Think the league will be exactly the same standard as the last 5/6 years imo.

It's always been too tough for us though, has it not?
