Like to see him stay but can understand if he wants to leave. With Frei here as well, he's way down the pecking order.

Realistically Noone, Bellamy, Kim and Frei are all preferred over him on the wings. However Maynards injury means Bellamy is better utilised as a striker, and I'd always prefer one of our own talents over someone who's only here for a short while. Comedy's performances in the development and also in the chances he did get first team deserved him more than he got. Disappointing by Malky in my opinion, and I hope he's emberassed by it.

Can add Smith to that list too when he's fit again.

He's a tireless worker and very direct but Noone, Kimbo, Bellamy and Smith all carry more threat and quality unfortunately

It's true - this situation is a bit similar to Darcy Blake. A top lad, works really hard but sadly there are better players than him that play in his position.

And I think Darcy has dropped to the bench now, which maybe shows Malky Coleman knows best

Truly gutted... One of the biggest disappointments for me this season is that we haven't seen more of Conway after the promising outing againtst Newcastle

If ever a player was undone by a lack of pace it's Conway. Such a good footballer but oh so slow. I hoped we might see him in the middle of a 4-5-1 but it seems this year our squad is too big and talented for experimental positional switching. If he does move him I expect he'll become a key player for some one like Barnsley.

Conway's transfer request has been rejected - looks like he still features in Malky's plans:

I've never liked the sound of a team forcing a player who wants to leave to stay, it does nothing for confidene. He'll need starts straight away or his morale will only get lower and lower.

Conway's signing ushered in the Malky Mackay era. He was unlucky with injuries last season, but has never let the side down whenever he has played.

Looking at the highlights of the Dev Squad games, he looks far too good for reserve team football, as does Velcro.

I would like to see both far more involved in the first team set up from hereon and I think it will be important to rotate what is a very strong squad, to keep everyone fresh and on their toes.

Although Malky will doubtless will want to keep this squad intact for the time being, I can see Conway being released at the end of the season, come what may........ Sad

He'll get a chance against Wednesday to remind Malky of what he can do. I'm hoping we'll see Conway, Helguson, Kimbo and Bellamy switching from 4-4-2 to 4-5-1 to 4-4-1-1 (with Conway and Kimbo taking time between Helguson and the midfield). It could be interesting.
