My favorite has to be ''Cardiff are average though. How the hell are they 2nd?''
Well the best home form in europe helps

I thought Boro were the better team and I would be gutted if City had lost in a similar fashion... But heyho Boro fans just gotta suck it up and deal with it...

Yet more away fans that judge a team based on the one game they played us in. We weren't brilliant today, but we won our 9th home game in a row. We are most certainly doing something right. Unfortunately our next two are away.
Overall, we deserved to beat Charlton and Bolton - but we didn't. That's football.
I really do feel like we are playing a bit like Norwich did two seasons ago. Fighting for those narrow victories.

Middlesborough came in to play dirty football, hard tackles across the pitch and focused in particular on Noone who seemed to get a battering every chance they got. Their striker got away with at least 4 blatant handballs and was diving everytime we went anywhere near him. Their goalkeeper was yelling at the referee to get on with it when Hudson was laying face down with what could well of been a concussion. Whittingham got flattened and their centre back tells him to get up and demands the game is continued, but then also starts diving and consequently whinging when he gets told to stand up.
I truly have no sympathy for them, they got what they deserved and I happily joined in the 'Losers! Losers!' Chanting at the end.
Oh but changing the tone slightly, I must say that stadium wide mocking applause and cheer of the referee when he finally made a correct decision goes down as one of my best stadium memories ever. His refusal to look at us for the rest off the match genuinely had me laughing for most of the remainder of the game.

The standing ovation was sublime... It was a brutal game but City must be able to mix it if away teams 'bring it' to the CCS... it helped the atmosphere at the end and whilst nail biting and peptic ulcer inducing it was a FANTASTIC game to win

It was absolutely hilarious. The standing ovation went on and on - it reminded me of years ago when striker Derek Showers scored his first goal for City after about 800 appearances (but not many on here will remember that!).

I was lucky enough to be in the epicentre of that applause but it really showed just how frustrating the ref's performance was.

Every single on of them as failed to recognise the injuries we got yesterday, meaning we were unable to freshen up the team in the last 1/4 of the match. Plus Hudson had to leave the pitch for 5 mins to get stitched up.
They couldn't score a goal against a team with a debutante playing centre back and a 19 year old midfielder playing left back for the majority of the game.
Fucking morons.

Precisely. A young midfielder playing full back and a debut from a 19 year old 20 minutes into the game and we still saw them off. I mentioned on another thread that we would have scored more if we hadn't lost our defensive shape and used all our subs so early

I had a pint with a few Boro fans after the game - decent lads TBF.
They missed quite a few chances, and City were really up against it at the end.
I would have taken a draw for most of the second half.

I was talking with two on the walk down Bessemer Road and they thought Leadbetter was lucky not to be sent off (although the second should have been booking was very late) and Mason had a clear penalty.
