Well, it arrived yesterday on my laptop and it has not disappointed. City are a good team (albeit with some annoying debt) and some quality players (Gunnarsson, Mutch, Maynard and Joe Lewis are all Premiership standard on my game).
It's a good improvement on the old games and they managed to put a lot of the recent job moves on it (although I had to resort to the editor to move Paul Jewell, Owen Coyle, Sean Dyche, Dick Bate, Mick McCarthy, Dougie Freedman).
And Arkay it doesn't have a negative effect on your relationship, I still sit on my right hand and get the sock out of the draw as often as I did before. Anyone else got it?

I played the demo yesterday - started playing about 21:30 for what seemed like 10 minutes and then looked at the clock and it was 02:20.
I think I best give this year a miss, especially with a little one on the way in January!
Let me know what you think of the classic mode Slumdog

Yeah I was so tempted to get it, but it takes over your life, especially the hours when normal people are sleeping.
So managed to hold off so far. [couldn't resist looking at this post thought hehe]

I have managed to keep it in check. I'm getting seriously annoyed that Kiss is rubbish though. And Joe Lewis is significantly better than Marshall.

Ahhh, so romantic...
I caved in and have bought it.
Interestingly Malky got the boot by October in my game with city sitting at 18th!
I scouted Whittingham and his freekick stat is only 14! Crazy. Let's see if stand in manager Kerslake can do any better.
Won't be long before I am capable of taking the reigns, after a few years and a couple of promotions.

Ahhh Football Manager. Every year I get tempted to give it another go, but I know deep down it will never be like it was 97/98 and 00/01. I've still got 00/01, I might even give it a blast soon.

Well I've won the nPower Championsip with City, I'm 23 points clear of Wolves with seven games to go and I'm unbeaten in the league (lost in the League Cup first round after fielding my reserves and lost to Liverpool in the FA Cup). Unfortunately Kiss is poo so I've signed Frimpong for next season as I love to have a nutter in my team. I'm also desperately trying to sign Eric Abidal from Barca as Taylor spent the season being skinned by opponents (life imitating art) but he wants 120,000 a week basic so slightly out of reach!

I'm shocked. I never thought the day would come when Slumdog would turn his back on Kiss? Unbelievable - FIST Kiss is trully dead if his main supporter has thrown in the towel.

Never mind Kiss. What Son hasn't told you is that I am actually on the cd as a scout (not as Cyncoed Slumdog, I have another name). How's that for kudos!

Sorry that was remiss of me not to mention that. I did sign you as a scout ASAP. I was on the older games as a Maxwell style left sided defender, wing back and midfielder but alas no more.

Serious? That's like a lifetime ambition for me.

Ah, Kudos, the renowned Greek scout! Who'd have thought......
